Understand Your Options and Take the Next Step

If you have received a letter about an alleged Blue Badge offence, find out what your options are and how the Awareness Course can help you resolve the matter.

If You Have Received a Letter About an Alleged Blue Badge Offence

Option A, Admit the Offence and Complete the Awareness Course

This provides a quick, education-focused route to resolving the matter without going to court.

Option B — If You Disagree or Do Not Respond

You may wait for proceedings. Your case may be returned to the Local Authority for prosecution consideration. This can result in a criminal record and significantly higher costs.

Important Information

All courses are offered under Local Authorities’ Discretionary Powers. The offer of a course can be withdrawn at any time. Non-acceptance or non-completion will be considered as part of any decision to pursue prosecution. This is not legal advice.

Quick Resolution

Once the course has been completed and the offence admitted, the case can be resolved without court attendance, subject to the Local Authority’s decision.
